Are you a mother worried about staying safe? Are you worried that being petite makes you weak and powerless, and that you’ll be marked as a target? Are you looking for a plan to equip yourself with anything that can give you the advantage against a larger and stronger opponent? We know that we can’t always control the environment around us, but hoping for the best rarely instills confidence!
It’s all about choosing the right lessons to learn to protect ourselves, which should be simple and effective. We also want to learn how to think about situations both before and after they arise. We know mom is the leader of the family, and we want to ensure you can safely navigate any situation to ensure your ability to continue protecting your family.
Many times we find that the solution to self defense is offered as carrying a gun, or weapon, but that usually makes the situation worse! Now the secret that we’ve found is that by practicing specific skills in an intense, yet short training session, we can produce life lasting results. Adults (of any size) can easily add power, speed, and situational awareness to instantly gain the upper hand in almost any situation.
Step 1: Identifying threats– We teach moms how to recognize the types of threats that we face in our modern world, even though over 65% are totally invisible. We learn in a way simple enough that children can also understand.
Step 2: Practicing Planned Responses-No one can prepare for everything, but if you think about that old diaper bag or packed minivan, you know you were ready for emergencies. Self defense is the same way, so we are sure to pack your tool kit with the essentials, and some specialty moves just in case.
Step 3: Implementing simple defensive habits–Humans naturally go towards pleasure and away from pain. We show you ways to make the training fun and safe to practice with your family, increasing your skill every time. Bruce Lee said “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
Here is an example I’d like to share, about a mother named Lisa that participated in our course. She was very petite and was also PREGNANT. She very concerned that she would become a target unable to protect herself. After watching the course and participating (when appropriate) she told me how at ease she felt thinking about her situation. “I had no idea there were so many things I could do that didn’t involve a punch or a kick.”
I know that if our training worked for Lisa, we know it can work for you and your family as well. I know that you are an amazing mother even though we haven't met because you are still reading this article. You care about keeping yourself and your family safe and getting them there as fast as possible. The first step is with you, the leader.
